Caz Basketball is an outreach to young men where our main objective is to have a team that has an overriding purpose which is clearly visible and teaches lessons beyond winning. The reason we do this is simple, we use the game of basketball and our little old gym to build meaningful relationships with the young men which give us an opportunity to share our faith in Jesus Christ and help these guys build good Christian character. Our Purpose
Caz Basketball is not like any other Basketball team your son will play on. Our focus is not just Basketball. We love Basketball and it is the best 7 months of our year but there's an ongoing war within this culture and our kids are growing up in it. With Sex, Drugs, Alcohol, Pornography, Social Media and all other sorts of things are coming at them 100 miles an hour and we need to be helping them in this battle of becoming a man.
Caz basketball Ministries in partnership with Caz Church, are calling young men ages 12-18 years of age in the South Buffalo and surrounding communities to true biblical manhood through repentance and faith in Christ. It is our call for men in today's culture to repent for their failure to become the men that God has created them to be and for believers to live as who they truly are in Christ. Confusion over what manhood is has plagued our cities, families and lives. The concept of a biblical man has been lost in our generation. Unfortunately, many of us struggle to provide a tangible definition of a real man because of all the false perceptions this world offers...like "making money will make you a man" We were all created by an amazing God who loves us, sent his son Jesus to die for us and has a purpose for our life beyond anything this failing world can offer.
We don't want to raise your children or interfere but we truly want to come along side you and help in anyway we can. Some of the Character traits we teach and live out through out the year are...Being Responsible, Respectful, Courageous, Resit Temptation, do not be Envious and teach Repentance...which is turning from our way and looking to God who has a perfect plan for our lives.
Our History
Caz Basketball has been an out reach ministry to young men in the South Buffalo area for over 20 years. We are a community outreach Caz Church. We are part of the Western NY Christian Basketball League (WNYCBL), formally known as the South Buffalo Christian Basketball League. This league has been around for over 50 Years!
